Rockin' dem rockin' chair
Long come Meaux
Draggin' him piroque
T-Boone give a holl'er
"Hey Meaux,
Where go
Wit dem pirogue?"

Meaux he say,
"I gone don de bayou'
an catch me a big gas'pa goo' "

T-Boone say,
"You get one big annuff
an I'll cook him up
wit mustard greens an stuff".

Mai Meaux
He say, "Dat soun good.
I been waitin' fo some good food."
So Meaux drag dem pirogue
Don de bayou'
He spen mos da day tryin' to catch dat gas' pa goo'
Den bout 4 clock
He don got annuff fishin'
T-Boone she have three fish fo fixin'
Meaux he make his way
Back to T-Boone
Just in time to see dem full moon
He smell dem greens
And some fransh bread too
And maybe T-Boone make some stew
Wit dem gas'pa goo'
Meaux cleaned dem fishes
Den he ask'd T-Boone fo dem dishes
Wit what you eat dem fishes
Da meal wuz ready
Dey sat don to eat
Dat T-Boone she sho can cook up a feast
Dem two frans dey set dare to' getter
Talkin', eatin' an doin' fine
Till it was Meaux's leavin' time
He lean'd o'va an planted a kiss
Right dare on T-Boone's fron porch
Unda'neet dem how you call, kerosene torch

"Tank you mai chere'
fo dem food
dey sho wuz good.
How bout ta' morra
I go buy dem shrimps an crabs
So you can make de gumbo
An I'll cook dem real slow
We can visit all day long
While dem pot simma."
Then Meaux, him, he wink'd
An in his eyes dare wuz a lil glimma
Fo wuz good food
Fo sho
But wha he wuz afta wuz ro'mansin' T-Boone ya kno!
