"Rusty Lands at DFW!"
Hello porchers,
At this writing, Rusty is about a week away from leaving again for
Iraq, but here you'll find the happy pictures of his homecoming as
he arrives at DFW. I couldn't decide which pictures to share-- so
I just posted them all. Rusty wants all of you to know that he
appreciates your support and prayers.
Hugs,
Shellie

Rusty's Mom, Cyndie, waits expectantly with his sister Hillary,
looking just a tad excited!

The waiting game with Nanee-- (also known as my mom Charlotte),
My daughter Jessica, My sister Rhonda, Hillary, Rhonda's daughter
Blair and Me!

I miss my sisters, we don't see each other often enough these
days. Left to right-- Rhonda, Shellie, Cyndie

The waiting game continues with Rusty's immediate family--
Cyndie, Hillary and Newton

When is that plane landing, anyway?

Rhonda's little boy, Bradley, with his sign for Rusty!

The hugs begin with Cyndie who had instructed us that she would
break the legs of anyone who got in her way once she saw her son.
Notice the respectful distance we gave her.

One more shot of Cyndie and Rusty.

Next in line-- Rusty's father, Newton!

A big hug from sister Hillary!

Nanee gets a hold of her grandson. Will she let go? That
is the question!

Papa and Rusty! By now I've finally figured out that I'm
not getting any shots of Rusty's face-- so I have them pose. :-)

Rhonda's husband John hugs Rusty. John will be going to Iraq
himself pretty soon with his National Guard unit.

My husband Phil's turn!

Rusty and his cousin Blake share a private moment.

Left to right we have a slew of Guenards. That's Rusty's
grandfather Opp Guenard, Rusty and Newton!

Behold, one happy extended family shown here!

This is a sweet shot of another happy couple being reunited. Specialist James Williams and his wife.

A welcome home sign waits for Rusty at my sister Rhonda's
house in Bedford.

Here's Rusty wondering if I'm gonna be snapping pictures
all day! :-)

Rusty hugs his Nana, (a.k.a. Rhonda)

This is Rusty about to show us how to wrap the traditional
Iraqi headgear with Phillip's girlfriend, Carey, as the model.
The shot with Carey actually wearing the wrap didn't come out.
Drats! But, check out the next pic!

Rusty also wrapped Blair, Rhonda's daughter!

My daughter Jessica poses with her cuz.

Now, this was fun! We're reading letters written to Rusty by
Bradley's fourth grade class at Bedford Elementary. You can
read one of these letters in the southern quote section this
week. They were both hillarious and touching!

Rusty gives his cousin Phillip a token from Iraq.

All the grandkids pose for Nanee.

One more picture from the Tomlinson family and of course-- Aunt
Shellie has to get one last kiss.
